Reddit Engagement

Find communities, work the opportunity queue, draft replies, and publish original posts.

Reddit Engagement

Engagement is where you choose communities, work timely conversations, and publish original posts. Open it from Reddit in the sidebar. Three tabs cover the work: Opportunities, Monitor, and Post, with Inbox, Activity, Growth, and Analytics sitting alongside as the other Reddit areas.

Before you draft

Select the client and connect its Reddit account in Integrations. Those connection controls name the Reddit username, and they offer a reconnect path when authorisation needs attention. In the desktop app, that handoff runs in the browser.

Give CASi a clear brand description, products and services, ideal customer profiles, target audiences and industries, content profiles, buyer questions, and relevant content. Set the dedicated Reddit tone of voice and publish the angles CASi should use on replies. Published angles carry the client's opinions, talking points, and positions into the draft. Draft angles stay out of Reddit drafting, and the Reddit voice sits apart from article voice and from social voice.

The product shows the monitored-subreddit allowance for that client's entitlement. Where a charge applies, AI-assisted actions need available AI balance, and billing settings hold the allowances. Choose communities in Monitor once that context is in place. Turn on email or Slack if the team wants alerts, and connect Google Analytics for referral reporting on Analytics.

Monitor

Search by topic, by industry, or by subreddit name. Ask CASi for communities that fit the business, or browse the industry-based trending suggestions Eclipse has already prepared. Each result includes a description and a member count when Reddit supplies them.

You can add a community, open its rules, pause it, reactivate it, or remove it from the list. Filters split that list into all, active, and paused. Pause a community and Eclipse takes it out of the active opportunity workflow until you switch it back on.

Scans run on a schedule in the background. Expect a gap between a post going live on Reddit and Eclipse picking it up in the next scan. The overview also shows monitored-community usage, opportunities found today, posts and replies today, Google visibility indicators, and brand and competitor mention counts.

Opportunities

Eclipse scores discovered posts against the client's business context and content profiles. Every card carries a score out of 10, a short explanation, and a suggested approach to the reply. Four checks sit behind that score:

  • How closely the problem matches the client's expertise.
  • How likely an expert reply is to be welcomed.
  • Whether the thread has useful visibility potential, from its age and its engagement.
  • Whether the client can add something useful to the discussion already underway.

Five buying-intent tags sit beside the score: Tool Request, Pain/Urgency, Budget, Comparison, and Implementation. They describe the conversation itself and stay separate from that overall score. A strong score can mark a useful place to help, including threads where a product mention would be a poor fit.

Cards show the subreddit, author, title, excerpt, Reddit score and comment count when Reddit provides them, the score explanation, a suggested angle, time remaining, and a link to the original thread. Where Eclipse has the data, the card also shows brand or competitor mentions, mention confidence, sentiment, and search-visibility context.

Filter by subreddit, minimum score, intent tags, brand mentions, competitor mentions, or Google ranking, then sort by score, recency, comment count, or time remaining. The minimum-score control runs from 6+ through 10.

Opportunities expire. Treat the queue as today's working list of conversations that still have time on the clock.

Google visibility

A direct match means that specific thread appears in the stored search results for a tracked keyword. Subreddit match means the community shows up in those results, and the individual thread's own ranking stays unproven on that signal alone. Neither marker covers citations inside AI assistants. Search placement for the reply itself stays unproven too.

Mentions on the card

Mention detection adds a confidence level, plus a sentiment label of positive, neutral, or negative, on the card itself. Username mentions in Inbox are the messages Reddit delivers to the connected account.

Draft a reply

Open the opportunity and read the thread plus the rules, then write the reply yourself or use Ask CASi.

CASi builds the draft from the live thread plus the client material that fits, which can include published angles, products, customer profiles, selected article material, and planner context, and when the opportunity was matched to a content profile, that profile keeps the reply pointed at the relevant product and audience.

A product mention stays conditional, so a direct tool request or a comparison has to justify naming a relevant product, and a high score, a pain tag, or a budget tag, taken alone, leaves a pitch unauthorised. Check the subreddit's actual rules and the proposed wording before you send.

Edit the draft in place, or pass CASi an instruction through Refine draft, such as a request to shorten it, shift the angle, or make the wording more direct. Both drafting and refinement wait for that explicit step. Posting starts a short countdown you can still cancel. If Reddit rate-limits the account, the cooldown shows up before the reply goes out.

CASi's read

On opportunity replies, including Lightning Round, CASi can add a read of the other participant. That read estimates possible beliefs, goals, and emotions, and when it is available it also estimates the likely reaction, a possible next response, and friction risk as low, medium, or high.

These figures are estimates drawn from the conversation, and they belong to the exact draft CASi assessed, so if you or CASi change the text, the screen separates those earlier predictions from the wording now in the editor and lets you open the earlier version.

Sometimes that read is missing. Inbox and Activity can still draft and refine a public reply with CASi. Those composers leave this longer read off the screen.

Drafting balance

Open Conflict on a monitored subreddit when you want to see how that community writes. Joined conversations supply the comments behind that profile. A community you only just added may have nothing reliable yet.

With enough comments, the panel shows a summary, the source-comment count, formality, warmth, casing, length, formatting, emoji use, common norms, and phrases people avoid. The conflict score runs from 0 to 100. Lower scores mean the two styles sit closer together. Read the figure as a style comparison, because ban probability and hostility towards the brand sit outside what it measures.

Set the balance for later replies in that community:

  • Brand-led gives priority to the client's adaptable writing style.
  • Balanced keeps the brand recognisable while taking on the community's delivery style.
  • Community-led gives priority to the community's delivery style.

The balance changes communication style, and facts, explicit client restrictions, and the other fixed drafting controls remain in the instructions. If community guidance is too thin, drafting falls back to the client voice, and the panel can also show reply guidance learned from conversations already reviewed.

Lightning Round

Lightning Round walks the filtered queue against a clock. Pick 10, 15, 20, or 30 minutes, plus an item target, then take each opportunity in turn. Read it, draft or refine, then edit, send, or skip.

Shortcuts are S to skip, D to draft, Enter to send, and Escape to exit. Editor focus changes how those keys behave. The summary then reports elapsed time, items reviewed, replies sent, items skipped, drafts generated, the average opportunity score of replies you sent, and whether the target was met.

You can resume leftover work from an earlier session in this same browser. Progress lives in that browser only. Another device will not have the session, and Activity will not list it as an audit log.

Cooldowns still apply. Starting a round waits for you to draft or publish, one opportunity at a time, after the thread has been read.

Original posts

Post offers four starts: Write, From Article, From Social, and From Scratchpad. From Scratchpad uses a note you have already saved in Scratch Pad, ready for CASi to adapt. Pick a monitored subreddit and read its rules first. Then write a text post, or ask CASi to adapt one selected source, and refine that draft with a further instruction if you need to. Edit the title and the body. Choose a flair option whenever the subreddit offers one, and pick the required flair when the rules demand it.

You can add an optional seed comment. It is a first comment from the same author, used to add context or invite discussion, and you can write it yourself or draft and refine it with CASi. Eclipse sends that comment after the post exists, and a failed comment can leave the post already live.

Publishing opens a short countdown you can cancel, then submits the text post. Success includes a link back to Reddit. The same flow reports any required flair, a validation failure, and a cooldown if Reddit sends one back. This composer publishes the text straight after you confirm. Later scheduling, native image or video posts, and an arbitrary URL import sit outside it.

Canvas research stays on Cortex, where the Reddit panel lets you search discussions, optionally limit the subreddit, sort by relevance, hot, new, or top, and add a thread to the canvas as research material beside the other evidence already there. Post itself adapts Article, Social, and Scratchpad sources. See Cortex Canvas for the research side of that work.

Alerts

Reddit notification settings include a master switch, plus separate email and Slack choices for opportunities, negative brand mentions, and replies to published content. A minimum score qualifies opportunity alerts and negative-mention alerts. Slack needs a workspace that is already connected, and you choose the channel on the Slack integration. Alerts are built in the background, so they follow that processing schedule.

Keep the loop short. Connect the account, set the voice and the angles, choose the communities, and reply where the client has something useful to add. Pick the thread up again in Inbox and in Activity. Growth and Analytics then show what to change next.
