Keywords

Track keyword rankings, manage focus keywords, and drive your content strategy.

Keywords

The Keywords page is where you manage every keyword you're tracking and decide which ones your content targets. Eclipse updates keyword data daily, so you always have a current picture of where you stand.

Your keyword table

Each keyword in the table shows:

  • Current rank on Google.
  • Day-to-day movement so you can spot immediate changes.
  • 30-day movement with a growth or decline chart showing the trend.
  • Search volume telling you how many people search for this term each month.
  • CPC (cost per click) showing what advertisers pay for this keyword on Google Ads.
  • Difficulty scored as a percentage, indicating how competitive the keyword is.
  • Region (US or UK) so you can track the same keyword in different markets.
  • Focus status showing whether this keyword is active for content production.

Data refreshes every day. You can sort by any column to find your strongest performers, biggest movers, or highest-opportunity keywords.

Adding keywords

Click Add Keyword to add keywords to your tracking list. You can add them individually or in bulk. There's no limit to how many keywords you can track.

You can also use Keyword Scout to discover new keyword opportunities based on your existing data.

Focus keywords

Tracking keywords is one thing. Producing content against them is another. That's where focus keywords come in.

Most clients add dozens of keywords, sometimes hundreds. But content can't target all of them at once. If you have 96 keywords and produce two articles a day, spreading content across all of them means each keyword gets one article every few months. That's thin coverage that won't move rankings.

Focus keywords concentrate your content production on a small number of keywords at a time. Your plan includes a focus keyword limit (five by default). Only focused keywords are available for Content Profiles to target. Anything that isn't focused won't get content produced against it.

This is deliberate. Five well-targeted keywords with regular, specific content will build topical authority faster than 96 keywords with sporadic, scattered coverage.

How to use focus keywords

  1. Review your keyword table and identify the keywords that matter most right now.
  2. Toggle the focus switch on up to your limit (shown at the top of the page).
  3. All Content Profiles will now target your focused keywords when generating content.
  4. Once a keyword reaches a rank you're happy with, unfocus it and focus a new one.

Focused keywords rotate daily for content generation, so each one gets regular attention across the cycle.

Upgrading your focus limit

If you need to focus on more keywords, you can upgrade your limit from the Keywords page. Higher tiers increase both your focus keyword count and your daily article generation capacity.

Keyword analytics

Click any keyword to open its analytics view. This shows detailed ranking history, competitor positions for the same keyword, and performance trends over time.

Competitor data from keywords can also be enriched and added to the Competitor Tracking feature, so your keyword intelligence feeds directly into your competitive picture.

Connecting keywords to content

Keywords and Content Profiles work together. When you create a Content Profile, you assign focus keywords to it. CASi then writes content specifically targeting those keywords for the audience and product angle defined in the profile. The result is content that's built for a specific search term and a specific reader, not generic material aimed at nothing in particular.
