Signals
Track real-time competitor activity, content changes, and market moves.
Signals
Signals surface real-time competitor activity. When a tracked competitor publishes new content, changes their positioning, or makes a notable market move, it appears here. Signals keep you informed without manual checking.
What signals capture
- New content published by competitors, including blog posts and key pages.
- Positioning changes when a competitor shifts how they describe their product or market.
- Sentiment shifts in how AI engines and review platforms characterise a competitor.
- Market moves like pricing changes, new feature announcements, or partnership news.
How to use signals
Signals are most valuable as triggers for action. A competitor publishing a series of articles on a topic you haven't covered is a signal to create content targeting that gap. A positioning shift might mean a competitor is moving into your territory.
Each signal can feed into your content strategy:
- Review the signal to understand what changed.
- Assess whether it creates a gap or opportunity for your brand.
- Take it to Cortex Canvas and build a response article, or create a Content Profile targeting the opportunity.
Signal frequency
Signals update as Eclipse processes new data from competitor monitoring. You'll see new signals as they're detected, giving you a current picture of competitor activity without checking their sites manually.
