Competitor Intelligence

Eclipse tracks competitor brands automatically, monitoring their content, positioning, sentiment, and where they appear across AI search engines. The Competitor Tracking page is your central view into what your rivals are doing.

Adding competitors

Click Add Competitor and enter a competitor's domain. Eclipse researches the competitor, pulling their positioning, content themes, and market presence. Once processed, the competitor appears as a card on your tracking page.

You can also discover competitors through your keyword analytics. Competitor data from keyword tracking can be enriched and added directly to the Competitor Tracking feature.

Eclipse's co-occurrence analysis also discovers competitors automatically when they start appearing in your category's AI answers through GEO scanning.

What you see per competitor

Each competitor card shows:

  • Positioning one-liner summarising how the competitor positions themselves.
  • Content gaps identifying topics they cover that you don't.
  • Signal count showing recent activity and changes.
  • Blog post count tracking their content output.
  • Average review rating from public review platforms.
  • Content Profile suggestions recommending profiles you could create to target their gaps.

How competitors feed your content

Competitor intelligence isn't just for awareness. It feeds directly into content production:

  • Content gaps become article briefs. When a competitor covers a topic you haven't, that's an opportunity for your next Content Profile.
  • Positioning data informs CASi. When CASi writes, it can position your content against specific rivals rather than writing in a vacuum.
  • GEO gaps show where competitors are cited in AI answers and you're not. Each gap is an article waiting to be written.

Unlocking competitors

Competitors are added in a pending state while Eclipse researches them. Once research is complete, you unlock the competitor to see the full intelligence card. This ensures the data is thorough before it becomes part of your competitive picture.
