Direct Social Publishing

Direct Social Publishing sends approved Eclipse social posts straight to connected platform profiles.

Use it when you do not need a Buffer queue and want to publish or schedule directly from the social post editor.

Each platform is connected per client from Integrations.

Publish actions

Direct destinations support:

• Schedule for an exact publish time.
• Publish now for immediate posting.

Draft and queue actions are Buffer-only.

Character limits

Eclipse checks character limits before publishing. If the post is too long for a selected platform, shorten it in the editor before trying again.

This matters when you select several destinations at once. A post that fits LinkedIn may still be too long for X.

Destination states

The social post editor separates destinations into:

• available
• scheduled
• published
• failed

Scheduled posts can be cancelled where the connected platform allows it. Failed destinations show their error so you can fix the post or connection before retrying.
